Project title: COMMON LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR EUROPEAN MANAGERS IN CONSTRUCTION VI
Project number: 2022-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000087357
Start: 01-12-2022
End: 31-05-2025
EU grant EUR 400,000.00
Project Coordinator: Faculty of Civil Engineering Warsaw University of Technology (PL)
Partners:
Technische Universität Darmstadt (DE)
Polish Association of Construction Managers (PL)
University of Ferrara (IT)
Gebze Technical University (TR)
Reykjavik University (IS)
Korporacja RADEX S.A. (PL)
Project description:
The project addresses priorities related to the higher education and vocational education and training sector, it involves improving training and teaching materials in the field of construction management. The project also addresses horizontal priorities by simplifying the system of recognition of professional qualifications for construction managers.
Improving the education system for construction sector personnel is crucial for the construction industry to be sustainable and efficient. Due to economic stratification in the EU, there is a phenomenon of migration of construction engineers and managers within the EU. It is necessary to provide them with a unified system of qualification, recognition and certification of skills across the EU.
The project involves the creation of six new Construction Manager's Library manuals. The manuals will be produced in six languages (Polish, English, German, Italian, Turkish, Icelandic) to allow their introduction in many countries and ECVET systems.

Project description:
The ARSC project - Using Augmented Reality for the safe installation of stone cladding stems from the need to prevent accidents on construction sites. Falls from height are the most common causes of serious accidents, often fatal, not only in Poland but throughout Europe. There is a great need to improve health and safety. The aim of the project is to reduce the number of accidents during the construction of tall buildings, especially during stone cladding works. To achieve this goal, a training system will be developed using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. This will help installers and engineers access all the health and safety information they need and enhance their knowledge of stone cladding technology.
The state-of-the-art training system will make use of Augmented Reality, a technology that is constantly being improved by the most influential companies around the world. Used, among others, in training for pilots, F1 drivers and military personnel, it is safe to say that AR is the future of high-quality, work-based education and vocational training. The project will comply with European Directive 2001/45 / EC and Directive 89/391 / EEC.
The target group and potential beneficiaries of the project are: civil engineers, construction students and workers, SMEs and technical universities.
The project is expected to improve the modernisation and strengthening of education and training systems in response to the main challenges of today's world (employment, economic stability and growth, as well as active participation in democratic life and the free labour market).
The manual, training system and augmented reality software being developed in the programme will include best practices from different European countries in the installation of stone cladding and a series of exercises for beneficiaries.
The results of the ARSC project, prepared on the basis of the experience of the international partnership, will increase the possibility of mobility for construction workers across the EU. It will also help them to work in the multicultural environment of global construction companies. The project will strengthen cooperation between industry and the education sector. The ARSC will promote access and learning through Open Educational Resources (OER) and the project outputs will be available to all stakeholders in online libraries
The expected duration of the project is 2 years, but the results will be available to the beneficiaries at the end of the project. The partnership involves: the University of Valencia (UV), whose team has extensive experience in the field of AR technology, KORPORACJA RADEX S.A., which has extensive knowledge and experience in construction, especially in the field of stone cladding performance, and three universities: Darmstadt University (DARM), Warsaw University of Technology (PW) and University of Granada (UGR), all of which will provide theoretical and didactic support.
Another partner, the Polish Association of Building Managers (PABM), through contacts with other associations and foundations, will be responsible for dissemination and evaluation at the highest European level.
The dissemination strategy will ensure that all beneficiaries have free access to information about the project and its results through: publications in construction documents and journals in Poland, Germany, Spain and other EU countries, conferences showcasing the project results, meetings with industry representatives, participation of construction partners and management conferences, leaflets and brochures, project website, profiles based on the EPALE and Erasmus + project results platform, contact with other EU countries for potential use of the project results.
