The beginning of the activity of the Korporacja Radex is 1989. The first years of activity were devoted to brand building through the participation of a small group of companies, operating within the structure of the corporation, in the implementation of large investments: Northern Water Pipeline, sewage treatment plants, steel mills and pipe rolling plant, pre-insulated pipe factory, Warsaw Gasworks, cubature facilities for SPEC and MPWiK, ENERGETYKA Repair Plant. Construction work was also carried out in Germany - e.g. Orthopaedic Clinic in Heilderberg 64,000 sqm, Congress Hotel in Mannheim 48,000 sqm, INSTAG office buildings 18,000 sqm in Mannheim. Successful projects for the German government in Latvia and Lithuania included the renovation and extension of embassies and consulates, as well as the renovation and reconstruction of the historic palace residence of the German ambassador in Latvia.
In 1991 under the name Konsorcjum Radex, an joint partnership of more than a dozen companies was formed, the core of which was Radex. The purpose of its creation was to cooperate with many large companies in the implementation of ‘turnkey’ major investment projects. This activity included the preparation, coordination and supervision of investment and technical primarily on the implementation of commercial facilities such as shopping malls, distribution complexes, etc. Radex brand began to be recognized in the market. This period included cooperation with foreign groups: CARREFOUR, BEG INGENIERIE, METRO, BLACK&VEATCH, GENERAL ELECTRIC, MORRISON KNUDSEN, for which were built, among others, distribution centres in Warsaw, Łódź, Ożarów, Raszyn, Shopping Centre with Warszawa Wileńska Railway Station 118,000 sqm, as well as the M1 Shopping Centre in Olsztyn 36,000 sqm and the ARKADIA Shopping and Entertainment Centre in Warsaw - the largest shopping centre in Europe to date with 316,000 sqm.
In 1999 Korporacja Radex S.A. was separated from the Radex Consortium, which took over the coordination of the construction of shopping centres in Olsztyn (M1), WILEŃSKA and ARKADIA in Warsaw, as well as coordination of the construction of a residential complex - 2200 flats, in the municipality of Warsaw Ursynów - covering an area of 18 ha. and a residential complex - more than 1600 flats in the municipality of Warsaw Bemowo - covering an area of 12 ha., along with utilities. Korporacja Radex, acting as the Principal Designer and Coordinator, has also built, on behalf of GENERAL ELECTRIC and WZL-4, one of the world's most modern facilities for testing jet engines, among others for Boeing passenger aircraft and military F-16.
In 2009 Korporacja Radex completed and handed over for use a large housing project, which is part of an investment project in the municipality of Warsaw Bemowo. The total area covered by the above process is about 148 ha, including 4 football fields, including one in the former aircraft hangar, revitalization of facilities of Fort Bema, development of 36 ha of park, roads, viaducts, bridges, etc. In addition, preparatory work is progressing for the construction of a 26,000 sqm usable floor area housing estate located in Warsaw (Mokotów) and a municipal waste treatment and landfill located near Warsaw.
Currently, Korporacja Radex S.A. main activity, which ensures its stability, is commercial estates lettings and management of facilities owned by the company and named Korporacja Radex Business Park. Korporacja Radex Business Park is an area of about 7.5 ha, on which there are more than a dozen buildings, offering for lease around 38,000 sqm of commercial space i.e. offices, warehouses and production premises. All buildings form a harmonious and coherent area complemented by spacious parking and a vast garden area that is the showcase of the complex. It is worth mentioning that entire office space accounts for approximately 28% of the total space available to let.
The offer is addressed to small and medium enterprises and includes warehouses and offices of various standards and rent costs, ranging from basic standard premises to modern high-storage warehouses and high-standard offices fitted out directly for the needs of the tenant. In the area of Korporacja Radex Business Park are located more than 30 Polish and foreign companies with excellent reputation, operating in various industries, often being its leaders. Two facilities designed to industrial laundries leaders have also been located here. Moreover, one of them was awarded the title of the seventh best laundry in the world.
The facilities erected by the company have repeatedly received following awards: “Construction of the Year“ and “Investment Process of the Year” awarded by PZITB, the European Medal awarded by the Office of the Committee for European Integration, the Business Center Club and the European Economic and Social Committee, awards from the Minister of Infrastructure, the Chief Inspector of Building Supervision and titles: “Engineering Project of the Year” awarded by PZITB, “Outstanding Development of the Year” awarded by CEE Real Estate Quality Awards, and the company itself and the President of the Management Board - Dr. Eng. Janusz Sobieraj personally - among others, the T. Kotarbiński Medal of the Polish Academy of Sciences as well as the titles: “Employer of the Year in Construction”, “Ambassador of the Polish Economy”, “Business Gazelle”, “Leader of Sustainable Development”, “Business Cheetah”, “Entrepreneur of the 25th Anniversary of Freedom of the Republic of Poland” and “Personality of the Year” in various nationwide competitions.
