History of the Company
The beginnings of the Korporacja Radex S.A. activity reaches 1989. The first years of activity were devoted to building the brand through the participation of a small group of enterprises operating in the corporate structure in the implementation of large investments: North Waterworks, sewage treatment plants, steelworks and tube rolling mill, pre-insulated pipes factory, Warsaw Gas Plant, cubature buildings for SPEC, MPWiK and Zakłady Remontowe ENERGETYKI. Construction was also carried out in Germany - including Orthopedic Clinic in Heilderberg (64 thou. sqm), Congress Hotel in Mannheim (48 thou. sqm), INSTAG office buildings (18 thou. sqm) in Mannheim. Also successful were the constructions completed for the German Government in Latvia and Lithuania - renovation and extension of embassies, consulates and renovation combined with the reconstruction of the historic palace - the residence of the German ambassador to Latvia.
In 1991, under the name Konsorcjum Radex, an informal holding of several companies was created, whose core was Radex. The purpose of its creation was cooperation with many large companies in the turnkey implementation of the largest investment projects. This activity included preparation, coordination and investment and technical supervision, primarily on the implementation of commercial facilities such as shopping centers, distribution complexes, etc. The Korporacja Radex brand began to be recognized on the market. This period included cooperation with foreign groups: CARREFOUR, BEG INGENIERIE, METRO, BLACK & VEATCH, GENERAL ELECTRIC, MORRISON KNUDSEN, for whom the following were built: distribution centers in Warsaw, Łódź, Ożarów, Raszyn, Shopping Center with Warszawa Wilenska Railway Station (118,000 sqm), and Shopping Center Ml in Olsztyn (36,000 sqm) and Shopping and Entertainment Center ARKADIA in Warsaw - the largest Shopping Center so far Europe with an area of 316,000 sqm.
In 1999, the Korporacja Radex S.A. was separated from Consortium Radex, which took over the coordination of the construction of Shopping Centers in Olsztyn (Ml), WILEŃSKA and ARKADIA in Warsaw, and the coordination of the construction of a housing complex - 2,200 flats in the Warsaw Ursynów commune - covering the area of 18 ha and a housing complex - over 1.6 thousand apartments in the commune of Warsaw Bemowo - covering the area of 12 ha, along with utilities. Korporacja Radex acting as the General Designer and General Coordinator, also built, at the request of GENERAL ELECTRIC and P.P WZL-4, one of the most modern plants for testing jet engines among others for Boeing and F-16 military aircraft.
In 2009 Korporacja Radex completed and handed over for use a large housing project included in the investment project in the commune of Warsaw Bemowo. The total area consist of 148 ha, including 4 football fields, including one in the former aviation hangar, revitalization of Fort Bema facilities, development of 36 ha of the park, roads, viaducts, bridges, etc. In addition, preparatory works for the construction of a housing estate are under way with an area of 26 thou. sqm usable floor space located in Warsaw (Mokotów).
The activity that gives a sense of stability to the Korporacja Radex is the rental of commercial, office, warehouse and production areas - located within the Korporacja Radex Business Park in Warsaw at ul. Marywilska, which is owned by the company. Korporacja Radex provides services and management of these properties. Currently, the Korporacja Radex Business Park is an area of approximately 7.5 ha, with a dozen or so buildings offering approximately 38,000 sqm of rental space. All buildings constitute a harmonious, coherent whole complemented by a large share of green areas that are a distinguishing feature of the complex. It includes several warehouse and office, office and production facilities. Office space is approx. 28%, the remaining rented area is warehouses, service and industrial space. The rental offer is addressed to small and medium-sized companies and includes warehouses and offices of various standards and prices, ranging from premises in the standard standard to modern high-storage warehouses and high-standard offices designed directly for the needs of the tenant.
Objects erected by the company have repeatedly received awards: "Construction of the Year" and "Investment Process of the Year" awarded by PZITB, European Medal awarded by the Office of the Committee for European Integration, Business Center Club and European Economic and Social Committee, awards of the Minister of Infrastructure, Main Inspector of Construction Supervision and titles: "Engineering Project of the Year" awarded by PZITB, "Outstanding Development of the Year" awarded by CEE Real Estate Quality Awards. The President of the Board - Dr Janusz Sobieraj personally - among others: Medal of T. Kotarbiński PAN as well as titles: "Employer of the Year in Construction", "Ambassador of Polish Economy" "Business Gazelle" "Leader of sustainable development", "Cheetahs of Business", "Entrepreneur 25 years of Freedom of the Republic of Poland" and "Personality of the Year 2016/2017 "in various nationwide competitions.
